“Delivering Quality Training Packages”

Dogs At Work Team

Dogs At Work is a joint venture between two well-established providers – Queensland Security Solutions and Craig A Murray Dog Training. The owners and operators of these successful businesses, Tracey and Craig Murray and Jan and Vendo Vincent, offer a wealth of experience and proven expertise. By establishing Dogs At Work, they aim to provide quality industry training for canine security dog handlers, security personnel, council animal management officers, animal shelter staff, boarding kennel staff and all other industry workers.

There are several security training providers in the Queensland and the national marketplace, yet none offer specialist canine security dog handling and associated security training courses delivered by professionals with over 30 years of combined industry experience.

Craig A Murray Dog Training

Tracey Murray and Craig A Murray have been running their own dog training and consulting business for over 25 years, and offer proven small business operational knowledge, training delivery expertise and extensive industry experience. They are also both committed to social justice and community service, qualified as Justices of the Peace.

Craig A Murray owned a security company that employed security dog handlers for clubs and hotels on the Gold Coast. He then progressed into dog training and furthered his study by travelling overseas in 1991, when he travelled to the USA to complete the Professional Dog Trainers Course and Police and Narcotic Dog Trainers Course, both incorporating 600 hours of training and approved by the US Senate for Education. Upon his return to Australia, he was employed as a permanent part time lecturer for Queensland University’s Veterinary Science and Animal Ethology Course which only complimented his own dog training business.

Tracey Murray has been working alongside Craig Murray for over twenty years as co-managing director of Craig A Murray Dog Training. She holds a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services and a Certificate IV TAE, and Certificate II and III in Security Operations.

Tracey has delivered nationally accredited industry training for an RTO for:

Certificate IV Companion Animal Course
Certificate IV in Animal Control and Regulation.
She has also lectured on dog behaviour in the UK in 2009, and regularly conducts dog obedience and training classes for private clients.
Together, their business highlights have included:
Training and lecturing for councils, industry groups and legislators nationally in dog behaviour, psychology and safety.
Delivering school training programs for local councils.
Fulfilling a nine-year contract providing private patrol dog teams within a larger security team for Sanctuary Cove luxury resort on the Gold Coast.
Teaching zoology, veterinary, welfare, grooming and dog training students at one of South East Asia’s largest privately owned college groups throughout Japan for 14 years.
Gaining government certification as Assistance Dog Trainers.
Running Craig A Murray Dog Training, a reputable dog training school in QLD.

Most recently, Craig has been working with the Queensland Government to develop and teach specialist detection dog programs, which have been validated by an independent government panel. He currently trains and manages two Sniffer Dog teams for Biosecurity Queensland and holds a current Certificate IV in TAE and Certificate II and III in Security Operations.

Craig also has experience as an Expert Witness for Councils for dog bite incidents, and has assisted with teaching First Aid while an honorary Ambulance Officer with the Queensland Ambulance service.
